About me
General
I'm a German translator who lived and worked in London, UK, for 19 years. I translate from English, French and Dutch into German. I recently moved back to Cologne, Germany. During my studies I spent long periods in France. I studied Spanish for several years and I speak Dutch as well. I travel a lot for business, for leisure and to keep up with developments in the countries where my working languages are spoken. I have a keen interest in the arts, cooking and current affairs, nature, horticulture and the environment.

„Olaf inherited a very difficult assignment when asked to translate my period-piece novel KALEIDOSCOPE for German readers. It was a real pleasure to get Olaf's questions and insights in the course of a very productive, and fast, collaboration. He combines technical craft with a writer's instincts. I was lucky to have Olaf on my side.“
